Currane Village There are 930 people living on Currane Peninusala, 25% of whom are native Irish speakers. Currane is the peninusula on the way to Achill. Currane is the home of Griffin Park, which is the local Community Sports Field, overlooking views of Croagh Patrick, Achill Beg Island and Clare Island. It hosts rugby, gaelic football and soccer matches
Achill Island is connected to Currane Peninsula via the Michael Davitt Bridge. It is a place of great beauty with Currane Hill providing the picturesque backdrop to our cottage |
